2024-25 short review : San-en NeoPhoenix
They were very close to advancing to the finals but couldn't stop one last possession.
San-en NeoPhoenix had another great season. Back-to-back Central Division champion and advanced to the semifinals. They were a very explosive offensive team and led the B1 with 90.1 points per game. San-en scored 100 or more points 15 times and was undefeated this season. Acquiring David Nwaba and Japan National team member Hirotaka Yoshii was key to their success.
1. The most explosive offensive team in the B1.
San-en was 28-1 when they scored 90 or more points and 15-0 when they scored more than 100. They had 129 points against the Sendai 89ers on January 12. Yante Maten is a physically strong big man, averaging 15.1 points, and shot 56% from the field to lead the scoring in the paint. San-en ranked first in this category with 40.8 points. They are also a good 3-point shooting team, with 11.1 makes per game ranked second in the B1. Kazuya Tsuya's improvement in his shot from downtown was huge for San-en. His 40.1% was the eighth in the B1, and making 125 triples was a career-high.
